Mr. Newman received his
undergraduate degree from Oakland University, magna cum laude, and graduated
from the Wayne State University School of Law in 1970, magna cum
laude. Mr. Newman has served as a faculty member for the Institute
of Continuing Legal Education and the Federal Court Trial Skills Workshops.
Mr. Newman has specialized
in business litigation, bodily injury claims and defenses, and health
care related matters, including medical malpractice defense, peer review,
and other adversarial proceedings in the health care industry. Mr. Newman
is also the firm's principal specialist in matters of defamation, rights
to privacy, and related matters.
He is a director of Lague,
Newman & Irish, P.C., the head of its litigation section, and a member
of the firm's Management Committee.
